Compute Engine - Google Cloud
Computing Engine is a virtual machine running in Google Cloud Platform and it is a part of the computing platform and a Virtual machine is one of the three computing platforms which are available in the Google Cloud Platform.
It's the same virtual machine on the cloud and the virtual machine on the cloud is available in Amazon. It is called Amazon EC2.
What can I do in Compute engine?
It is actually infrastructured service it is you have full control on what operating system which is running you can go and customize the virtual machine you can even do SSH(Secure Shell) which you can connect to the virtual machine you can do so many things inside the virtual machines. So this is like fully controlled the virtual machine. The machines are a computing platform which you can have it on Google Cloud Platform.
